Open for Business
With all "non-essential businesses and operations" ceasing temporarily, the streets of Chicago have certainly felt peculiar. Pursuant to CDC guidelines, gatherings of more than 10 people are prohibited in an attempt to control the spread of and exposure to coronavirus, with the exception of specific "essential" businesses. However, according to Governor Pritzker's executive order, professional services (including real estate) are considered "essential" and are thus allowed to maintain operation during this shelter in place period.

SBA Disaster Loans
For your information, most small business owners in the US who have had their business impacted by COVID-19 are eligible for SBA loans. The SBA is working directly with State Governors to provide low-interest loans of up to $2 million to small businesses and non-profits that have been severely impacted by COVID-19. These working capital loans can provide crucial support to small businesses that have experienced a revenue loss due to the current circumstances.
